The film aspect of my work - The idea is to have the film projected from the tree out on to the walls around it. This is like the tree's (person's) projection of self. The images are to represent the stimulus that has affected the person. As in my description of the tree (changing and developing over time affected by external forces). The images will be layered and animated, double exposed and manipulated in collage. This is because we are a product of a great many stimuli. Our self is a collage of experience. This is what I want the film collage to represent.
What I have explored in relation to the zoetrope (see: contiguioustills) the projection being from the tree and people walking in front of the images interrupting the displayed images. This is like the slits in the zoetrope and like the external stimulus that continues to affect the tree / person.
People are a product of their environments and society. We have the ability to grow with or move away from our experiences - choices and journey. But there is constant interference from these factors invited or otherwise - this is the people walking around the tree and interrupting the projection of the tree's image. This interuption may have a positive or negative affect on the work as is in life.
